Trama: La Guerra dei Fiori Rossi è tratto dal romanzo semi-autobiografico Could be Beautiful di Wang Shuo, l'enfant terrible e nuova promessa della letteratura cinese. Il film è la storia infernale di Qiang che alla tenera età di due anni, viene mandato in un asilo nido a tempo pieno. Dopo pochi giorni Qiang è già diventato l'incubo delle maestre. Fa la pipì a letto, fa il prepotente con i più piccoli, specialmente con le femmine, che ben presto scoprirà essere diverse dai maschi! Qiang, invece di obbedire agli ingegneri di anime che vogliono omologare tutti i ragazzi allo stesso comportamento, fa degli anni dell'asi-lo il suo apprendistato di piccolo ribelle controcorrente.
Sinopsys: The Red Flower War is based on the semi-autobiographic novel Could be Beautiful by Wang Shuo, the enfant terrible and the rising star of Chinese literature. The film tells the harrowing story of Qiang, who, at the age of only two, is placed in a nursery school full time. After only a few days, Qiang is already driving his teacher mad. He wets his bed, he bullies the younger children, especially the girls, whom he soon discovers to be different from the boys! Instead of obeying the engineers of the spirit who want all children to behave in the same cookie-cutter manner, Qiang uses his nursery school years as an apprenticeship for his career as a young rebel.
