Sinopsys: Pierre Collier is murdered at the home of Senator Henri Pagès during a weekend vacation trip. His wife Claire is the prime suspect: she was found next to the victim, holding a pistol, and she would have good reason to get back at her high-living husband. But appearances often deceive. The gun in the woman's hand is not the murder weapon, and so all the guests become potential suspects: Esther, the dead man's lover, Léa, an old flame form his youth, and Philippe, his rival. And why rule out the Senator, a collector of firearms? Captain Grange finds himself faced with an especially complicated case, and soon with a second murder as well.
