Trama: La vera storia della focaccia che mangiò l'hamburger. Il film trae spunto da una vicenda accaduta realmente qualche anno fa ad Altamura, un Comune della Puglia, dove venne inaugurato, tra la curiosità della gente del luogo, un grande McDonald's di 550 metri quadri. Dopo qualche mese, due panettieri del paese decisero di aprire, proprio accanto al "gigante" americano, una piccola panetteria in cui produrre cibi tipici e regionali e la loro specialità: la focaccia. Lentamente, da quel momento, giorno dopo giorno, la concorrenza "leale" dei panettieri e dei loro prodotti mise sempre più in crisi il grande Fast Food, che da lì a pochi mesi fu costretto a chiudere.
Sinopsys: This film is based on the true story of what happened a few years ago in Altamura, a little town in the province of Bari, where McDonald's, the world's largest fast-food franchise ,opened a huge restaurant to great success ... at the beginning. But, two local bakers, very proud of their own region's foods, produce and traditions, were clearly not enamored with the novelty of their new neighbor. Against all odds, they opened a bakery, ten times smaller than their competition, just yards away. Month by month, the bakers saw their own clientele growing larger and larger. Then the unexpected happened: in only eighteen months, with creativity and a lot of work, they managed to put the fast food restaurant out of business.
