Altri titoli: The fifth wheel
Sinopsys: The story tells the tragicomic story of Ernesto, a simple truck driver who for forty years has been all over Italy, up and down the stairs, loading and unloading furnitures, a thousand removals, two thousand houses, putting together a journey through Italian history: from Italy of black and white tv in the 60s, the "Years of Lead" '70s, rampantism from the 80s, 90s marked by Berlusconi.
Through his simple look and his position "next to the window," Ernesto sees time going by. Among scandals and malfeasance, hopes and disappointments, storms and clouds, he is one of many everyday heroes who nonetheless managed to dodge obstacles more treacherous remaining faithful to family, friends, and to their ideals.
