Sinopsys: Director Olmi's recounting of the book of "Genesis" begins with images of Nature, powerful and unspoiled, and with the story told by an ancient pastor, a white bearded nomad gathered under a tent with his children and his children's children. The Creation of man and woman; Adam and Eve's temptation by the serpent; their sin; their expulsion from Paradise, man's first crime: Cain's fratricide God's condemnation of Cain, the spreading of corruption and wickedness; God's regrest for the kind of world he made, Noah - a just man - and his decision to build the Ark; the Great Flood; God's covenant with all living things: these are the stories told with clear and simple words by wise old nomad, himself a descendent of Noah. Events are narrated the way a grandfather would narrate bedime stories to his small grandchildren. And with these stories, he shows us that the Creation takes place every day, and that the covenant between God and Man is renewed or broken with each and every one of our acts.
