Trama: Il film, ambientato nella Spagna dei nostri giorni, narra la vicenda di Jesus Barro, un campione del biliardo che decide di partecipare ad un torneo per aiutare, con la vincita in palio, un vecchio amico caduto nella morsa degli usurai. Tra Jesus e la posta in palio si intromette un certo Scalesi boss delle scommesse clandestine, che lo "invita" a perdere con il campione in carica. L'orgoglio e la bravura porterannò Jesus a vincere ugualmente il torneo. Il prezzo da pagare, però, è alto. Oltre a subire da parte dei sicari del boss la frattura delle mani, vedrà il suo amico Paco morire nel tentativo di aiutarlo. La vita di Jesus continua nel rimorso di ciò che è accaduto fino a quando non incontrerà Andrea, una ragazza di 17 anni. Tra i due si instaura un rapporto del tipo "padre e figlio". Inoltre la fanciulla mostra un talento nascosto nel gioco del biliardo e, travestita da ragazzo, sotto la protezione di Jesus, viene introdotta nel giro dei grandi tornei. Lo scopo è quello di rovinare il boss Scalesi e vendicare la morte di Paco.
Sinopsys: The film, set in Spain nowadays, tells the story of Jesus Barro, a pools champion who decides to join a tournament in order to help, with the winning prize, an old friend who has fallen into the hands of shark-loans. A certain Scalesi a gangster in the illegal bets business approaches Jesus and "invites", him to lose the match with the title champion. His pride and courage eventually push Jesus to win the tournament anyway. But the price he has to pay is high. On top of having both his hands broken by the gangster's thugs, Jesus has to witness the death of his friend Paco who was attempting to help him. Jesus Barro goes on living with the guilt feeling of what happened until he meets Andrea, a seventeen year-old girl with whom he starts a kind of father-daughter relationship. The young girl shows a remarkable talent in the game of pools and dressed up as a boy. Under Jesus's protections, she starts playing in the big tournaments. Their aim is to destroy Scalesi, the illegal bookmaker and avenge Paco's death.
