Sinopsys: When the entire Eastern Mediterranean was shared between two major powers, the Turkish Empire and the Venice, a small but affluent Republic of Dubrovnik, with its crafty diplomacy, was succesfully maintening its autonomy and prosperity. The film opens with the play "Paron Maro" staged in front of the Rector's Palace, the center of the Republic of Dubrovnik, on the day of the city's grand festivity. Local aristocracy, the ambassadors and the Rector are all attending Marin's play, which allegorically talks about injustice and hypocrisy among the wealthy and powerful. Actors humorous verses irritate city's officials and the Rector, who angrily, leaves the performance before its ending. Republic's grey eminence , led by judge Luca, decides to use the occasion to censor Marin and his troop...
