Sinopsys: A tired and injured soldier decides to desert rather than be sent to the front during the American Civil War. Thus begins his long journey to return to his home on Cold Mountain in North Carolina. It is there where he hopes to reunite with the woman he loves, a woman who has been fighting her own personal battle trying to keep the farm afloat that she inherited from her father. Even after a long wait, her hope never wanes. Ada patiently waits for Inman and one day she sees come out of the distance.
