Trama: La notte del 6 aprile 2009 un violento terremoto ha devastato una delle più belle città italiane e il suo territorio, dotato di uno straordinario patrimonio artistico e naturale. Dopo quella notte, L'Aquila è divenuta teatro della politica sia nazionale che internazionale. Il Presidente del Consiglio, Silvio Berlusconi, ha deciso di spostare il summit del G8 nel capoluogo abruzzese per captare l'attenzione e ottenere aiuti internazionali. Per mesi le persone "terremotate" sono rimaste spaesate e totalmente escluse dalle scelte politiche che decidevano il loro futuro. In un periodo di quindici mesi di riprese, il film racconta la città più mediatizzata e mistificata d'Italia, passata dalla rassegnazione alla rivolta attraverso mille trasformazioni, intrecciando storie di persone, luoghi, cantieri, voci e risate di "sciacalli" imprenditori che hanno scatenato la protesta delle carriole, quando ormai il terremoto non faceva più "notizia". Riprendiamoci la città hanno gridato gli abitanti dell'Aquila e si sono organizzati per spalare le macerie, dimostrando la volontà di non rassegnarsi al silenzio, anche se costretti a vivere nelle periferie di una città fantasma.
Sinopsys: On April 6th 2009, in the night, a violent earthquake stroked and devastated L'Aquila, one of the most beautiful Italian cities and, with this city, many other villages of this province were destroyed. These lands are the scenario of an extraordinary artistic and natural heritage. After that night L'Aquila became the scene of the Italian politic. The prime minister Silvio Berlusconi decided to move the G8 summit in L'Aquila to gain international aid and, at the same time, to avoid every protest demonstration. For months, the victims of the earthquake remained disoriented and completely excluded from the political choices which decided on their future. This film tells about the reconstruction process started after the earthquake in the period of a year. This event is braided with the life and the stories of many people that saw their lives and countries transformation abruptly and out of control in a continuous emergency state. This transformation is the poisonous fruit of enormous economic and political speculations culminating in cruel and disgusting wiretapped laughter of entrepreneurs happy to get a lot of business against the rural landscape remained intact for centuries. The vehement protests of L'Aquila citizens is the awakening of the sense of citizenship, it is the desire not to resign themselves to silence and not to lose memory, even if they are forced to live in a desert of rubble.
