Sinopsys: Having lost both her father and mother, Jane Eyre is raised in the home of a wealthy aunt who never misses an opportunity to remind the girl of her status as a poor relative. To complete her education, she is sent to Lowood School, a gloomy institution for orphaned children. Years later, having obtained her teaching diploma, she is hired as the governess of Edward Rochester's daughter, Adele. In her new home, Jane feels safe for the first time in her life. The attraction she holds for the master of the house contributes to this feeling. Some time later, Jane is summoned to the death bed of her aunt. The dying woman hands her a letter from an uncle, John Eyre, who has left her a sizable inheritance. Back at the Rochester estate, her employer declares his love for her, and their wedding is set. During the ceremony, a lawyer rushes in claiming that Rochester is still married to another woman. The mysteries that surround Thornfield Hall, Rochester's magnificent residence, are unveiled: fifteen years earlier he was forced to marry Bertha, a rich heiress, knowing nothing of her insanity. The woman still lives locked away in an isolated part of the house. Despite her love for Edward, Jane feels compelled to leave him and settle elsewhere. Drawn back by an irresistible force, she returns to Thomfield, finding it in ruins: in an attack of madness, Bertha has set fire to the house, and while attempting to save her, Rochester has been blinded. Reunited at last, Edward and Jane swear never to leave each other again.
