Trama: Mentre sta perfezionando la sua ultima coreografia, Carla riceve la notizia della morte del padre. Per lei che ha sempre abbandonato per prima gli uomini con cui ha avuto rapporti sentimentali quest'avvenimento è sconvolgente. Abbandonata, e per sempre, dall'uomo più amato... Disperazione e confusione, la inducono a partire per un viaggio senza meta, che diventa una ricognizione sugli affetti e sui luoghi della sua vita passata. Durante questa fuga Carla è pedinata con affetto e ironia dal suo ultimo uomo che intuisce i percorsi della sua mente e il tragitto che compirà. Vagando e cercando Carla incontra gli uomini che l'hanno amata e che subiscono ancora il fascino della donna forte, bella, che ha turbato la loro vita. Carla capisce quali debolezze e paure abbiano dominato la sua vita. Capisce che non può vivere nella nostalgia di un padre che se ne è andato per sempre, che deve guardare in faccia l'amore che le viene offerto dall'uomo che la insegue. Storia di una donna che cerca di modificare il rapporto duro e competitivo che ha con gli uomini e che cerca il completamento umano e sentimentale, DONNA D'OMBRA coniuga vita e morte, amore e infanzia, desiderio di maternità e creatività artistica, accompagnando la sua protagonista lungo un viaggio di superamento della morte, di ritorno alla vita e alla pienezza dei sentimenti, di ritorno alla felicità creativa.
Sinopsys: While perfecting her latest choreography, Carla receives the news that her beloved father has died. For her, who has always been the first to leave the men with whom she had sentimental relations this is a terrible blow. She has now been abandoned forever by the man she has always loved most... Overcome by despair and mental confusion, she leaves on an aimless journey which turns out to be a voyage back over her past relationships and the meaningful places connected with her own life. During this flight of hers, Carla is shadowed (with affection and a certain irony) by the last man she has left, who is able to foresee her every move. During her pilgrimage Carla meets the men she once knew who still feel a strong attraction for her and the fascination of this strong and beautiful woman who has left a mark on their lives. Carla begins to understand the weaknesses and the fears that have signed her own life. She realizes that she can no longer live simply in the memory of the affection of her father who has left her forever, and that she must come to terms with the love the man who is following her offers. This is the story of a woman who does all in her power to change her hard and competitive attitude towards men and accept her need for human love and affection. The "Shadow Woman" links life and death, love and childhood, desire for motherhood and artistic creativity, accompanying the protagonist along the road that leads to the defeat of death and a return to life and to full enjoyment of feelings, a return to creative happiness.
