Trama: Vincent è un ministro, un uomo potente, non brutto, piuttosto elegante, grande bevitore e buongustaio. Odile, la sua amante, è una ragazza molto bella, intelligente, lucida e affascinante. Ma non bisogna mai far dipendere il proprio destino dalle belle ragazze: la cosa potrebbe costarvi piuttosto cara. Infatti, nel momento in cui Vincent viene cacciato dal ministero, lei lo lascia. Théodière, il nuovo ministro in carica, si insidia nel sontuoso ufficio di Vincent e distrugge tutto quello che trova. Cambia gli scaffali, i rivestimenti di poltrone e divani, la scrivania, le poltrone, fino addirittura ai posacenere e ai telefoni. Per quanto tempo resterà in carica? Chi lo sa... Ma lui è ottimista. L'ex ministro Vincent, invece, comincia a vivere... E così, alla fine della nostra storia, Vincent incrocia Théodière, suo rivale e successore caduto in disgrazia a sua volta, ma Vincent non proverà né odio, né gioia perversa, anzi gli dirà: " Mi sembri stanco, tieni, bevi un bicchiere ! ".
Sinopsys: Vincent is a government minister, a powerful man. Not ugly, rather elegant, fond of drink and good food. Odile, his beautiful lover, is quick witted and alluring. But it is not a good idea to put your fate in the hands of pretty girls: at the very moment Vincent is driven from the Ministry, Odile leaves him. The new Minister, Théodière, turns Vincent's sumptuous office inside out. He changes the shelves, the upholstery, the desk, the armchairs, even the ashtrays and the telephones. How long will he hold his position? No one knows... But he is optimistic. Meanwhile, Vincent, the former minister, is starting to live... At the end of our story, Vincent bumps into Théodière, his rival and successor, who has fallen on hard times himself. But Vincent, feeling neither hatred nor rancorous pleasure, simply notes:"You look tired, Have something to drink!".
